Zines! Zines! Zines!
Hey gang!
I hope this post finds you well! On top of doing all of the normal comic con things I normally do, I have been setting up at craft shows and bookish events since April. I’ve slang zines in SC, NC, TN, GA, and even TX. I am trying to get into more shows that specialize in these things. In the forums of a lot of these shows it asks for set up photos and pictures of zines. SO! I thought I would make a blog post to easier share what I do.
Hey there! My name is Jacob, I love making zines! I write short stories that have been published multiple in Magic In Progress. I have a story in a mermaid anthology that will be in print next year. I also have two other stories that could be published before the year is out. I am so very proud of all of that, but what I love most is making my zines. Iron & Ink is a fan zine with sword and sorcery, hero bright, and heroic fantasy stories written by me based on my D&D characters. Most issues also includes a stat block for a creature from the story, a magic item that you can use in your own D&D game, art from me and my friends, articles from other contributors, and anything else that makes me happy. I am very proud of these and you can see in real time as I get better in writing, formatting, and drawing. Thanks to anyone and everyone that has snagged a physical copy or digital. You can find 3 of my issues digitally in our online store here. You can find them physically at any shows that I set up at. I hope to attend and vend at more bookish events and zine shows soon. Thanks for coming along for the ride.
